Station Notes:
The Kautz Stream Gage is down due to a battery/power issue. Due to several feet of snow between the site and the roadway to access it, this station will likely be down for some time.
► The Radio Link has been restored, as of 3/11/2020!
► **UPDATE** In-water equipment has been moved to a new site as of 4/8. It should now be reporting correct data. **PREVIOUS** IN-WATER EQUIPMENT IS CURRENTLY EXPOSED ABOVE WATER LEVEL! This will be repaired as soon as feasible, but water pressure, water temperature, water conductivity, turbidity, turbidity temperature and stage will all be falsely reporting during this time.
► A new visibility and present weather sensor was installed on 3/11/2020. This sensor reports out visibility between 0-75 km and present weather as synop codes (0-87). The page below will plot Visibility and I'm working to figure out how best to plot present weather. PLEASE NOTE that the sensor is currently unheated and may falsely report values when the sensor's eyes become obscured by dew, frost, or any other object.
► Data acquired by all stations during the Government Shutdown from December 22, 2018 to January 26, 2018 may not be correct and should be considered provisional data until later analyzed by staff.
► This is a brand new site, established on December 17, 2019 at 16:30 PST. Please note that for the next few months, some data may be unreliable as we get the site fully operational.
► This station records in-water data in a side channel of Kautz Creek downstream of the twin culverts. In the event of river shifting/avulsion, this data may no longer represent reality. Please use this data with caution.
► The rain gage is unheated and will not accurately record in periods of ice or snow fall.
► This site records river stage only (not discharge).
► This station may experience problems during and after storm events due to extreme sediment load. Please use the gage height and discharge data with caution during these periods.
